Who is a psychologist?
A psychologist is a trained mental health professional who helps people navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship separation, or grief. They help you understand what’s driving your symptoms and build healthy ways to cope. With 18 years of experience, I provide a range of mental health support tailored to each client’s needs.
Psychologist vs psychiatrist?
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in mental disorders and are licensed to prescribe medicine — they’re part of your care team when a condition like schizophrenia or severe depression requires medication. Psychologists are not medical doctors and, in most US states or the EU, cannot prescribe or perform medical procedures. As a mental health professional, I work within the coaching and hypnotherapy domain, focusing on the mind and emotional patterns rather than medication. In my experience, most challenges can be addressed without the need for medicine.
