Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention, visualization in a light or deep trance. Hypnosis allows you to be more open to suggestions about making healthful changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors. Hypnosis isn’t mind control or brain washing. Hypnosis works with certain requests: addictions, states, behaviors, goals, past memories, experiences, experiences from the past live’s — regression. Any changes in your health or habits will come from you choosing to make them.

Description

Ericksonian hypnosis is a gentle, non-directive method of hypnosis developed by psychiatrist Milton Erickson. Unlike classical hypnosis, it does not rely on direct commands. A session resembles a meditation, a trance-like state, or a confidential conversation during which the practitioner guides the client through their unconscious mind, allowing the brain to discover its own solutions to problems, and to process deep-seated traumas, grievances, and personal issues.
Areas of Application:

This method is widely utilized in counseling and coaching settings to address the following conditions: Neuroses, phobias, anxiety, and panic attacks; stress-related conditions and depression; overcoming addictions and psychosomatic disorders; sleep disturbances and chronic pain; issues with self-esteem and self-confidence; and many other concerns.

Contraindications:

While the Ericksonian approach is considered very gentle, it is not suitable for a number of severe conditions. Absolute contraindications include psychiatric disorders in an acute phase (e.g., schizophrenia), severe forms of depression, and acute somatic illnesses—specifically cases where referral to a psychotherapist is required.

Advantages:

It allows for an immediate resolution of symptoms or conditions, if there are no "secondary gains" or unconscious benefits derived from the condition itself.

Disadvantages:

Some individuals may need to solve one request at a time, as well as the requirement to abstain from alcohol for one week prior to the session.
